This is my Campsite. Dollar Lake through the trees. Soft forest ground to lay on.
I use a REI 4-seasons 2P Cirque tent. This is the only 4-season tent I've ever owned (4yrs), it works. For Himalayan trips, upgrade to a mountaineering tent.
That is the Kings Peak hiking trail, with an ice river running down it. What my step, don't slip.
I took just 1 of my hiking poles, and was so glad to have a 3rd point of contact for stability. Especially this slippery section of the trail.

The Rottweiler made it up most of Kings peak, route finding was key to getting her up this far. Backcountry skiing has given a lot of experience route finding. . those boulders are HUGE.
